Shores of Lake Como

Known as the Pearl of the Lake, the origin of Bellagio dates back to 600 BC, with its ancient buildings and its typical paved streets, it is a true joy to wander through this charming village. Even then-President of the United States John Fitzgerald Kennedy could not resist the beauty of this place. Only 4 days after his historical visit to Germany Kennedy landed on 30th of June 1963 by military helicopter in Bellagio. JFK was so impressed by the flight over Lake Como and the breathtaking panorama that he said, “This is the most beautiful lake in the world.” Visit the splendid gardens of Villa Melzi (1810), Villa Serbelloni (1490), the Basilica of San Giacomo (XI – XII century) or simply enjoy an ice cream while strolling through the typical local shops.
Kissed by the sun from the early hours of the morning, Tremezzo is a lovely village facing Bellagio, home to one of the finest luxury Hotels on Lake Como, Grand Hotel Tremezzo, and to the iconic Villa Carlotta and its 20 acres of botanical gardens. Villa Carlotta took its name after its then-owner, Princess Marianne of Nassau, gave it to her daughter Charlotte.
Located on the edge of the two branches of the lake, Varenna is a lovely fishing village. Be amazed by its historical center with its ancient Roman forum, the alleys and stairs that descend to the lake! Walking along Passerella degli Innamorati” (Lovers’ walkway) and enjoy a breathtaking view directly on the lake.
